Coach Zane Truman
Coach Zane began his hockey career playing youth hockey for the Webster Groves Wings and Affton Americans. Zane played high school hockey at De Smet and junior hockey for the St. Louis Junior Blues before attending Washington University in St. Louis and starting his coaching career. Coach Zane has been teaching private skating and hockey lessons for over 22 years along with coaching youth hockey teams of all ages for 20 seasons in both the USA and Canada.
Coach Alex Switzer
Coach Alex played youth hockey for the Kirkwood Stars and moved on to the Affton Americans CSDHL program. After youth hockey coach Alex played high school hockey at CBC before attending University of Missouri. Alex has coached with the St. Louis Amateur Blues, De Smet High School and Kirkwood Stars programs. Coach Alex has been teaching private lessons for over 8 years with STLHT.
Coach Rick Trautwein
Rick began his hockey journey playing for Valley before moving onto St. Peters, competing as both a forward then becoming a goaltender at the AA, Central States, and AAA levels. He went on to play three seasons as the starting goalie at Duchesne before continuing his career at Lindenwood University. After his playing days, Rick transitioned into coaching, where he has spent the past 14 seasons as a member of Lindenwood’s ACHA staff. His coaching career also includes time with Chesterfield 15U and 16U Central States teams, as well as two seasons with CarShield’s 16U and 18U AAA programs, helping players advance to the next level of competition
Coach Jack Johnsen
Coach Jack began playing at 6 years old for the St. Peter’s Spirit. After youth hockey Jack played for Duchesne High School and then moved on to Illinois State University ACHA. After playing Jack moved into coaching helping with Mitch Korn and Planet Hockey camps before joining STL Hockey Training.
